How shall I come to know who I am, if I cling to the assumption that I know who I am? If I am willing to receive who I am, I shall find that who I am is not the person that I had believed myself to be, that I am not what others taught me that I am. The contemplative finds his or her true identity is beyond all identities. To say that we find ourselves only in G-D, is to say that we find who we truly have always been, and will always truly be.
